In the interest of adventure, to broaden our own horizons (quite literally in this case!), and to share with you some brilliant ideas for your own next brunch date, we have decided to take up the difficult (but oh so necessary) task of writing an investigatory series into the world of brunching. We’re not going to lie, it’s going to be pretty hard… Sam isn’t even a fan of avocado for goodness sake! But we promise to always order the prettiest drinks on the menu and thoroughly investigate the dishes, even if it means leaving slightly merry after the pretty cocktails and on the next hole of the belt… Now that is dedication.
Duck and Waffle is an amazing restaurant in London that boasts of panoramic views over the city. It’s on the 40th floor of 110 Bishopsgate, which is within walking distance of Liverpool Street Station. It stretches 230 metres into the sky and is one of London’s tallest buildings.
But it’s not all about what’s on the outside. Oh no! Not when what’s served on the inside looks this good too!
We all just so happened to order the same thing – The Duck and Waffle. It comes with maple syrup infused with mustard seeds, which we all thought sounded kind of weird, but we can all now attest to how delicious it really is. Is it possible to be sweet and savoury at the same time?! Apparently so…
There are plenty of other options on the menu of course, if the duck and waffle doesn’t float your boat. And the restaurant is open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. They.Never.Close! Can you believe it?! Despite this, it is so hard to book a table. We had to make our booking 3 months in advance. It seems easier for larger table bookings than if you only book for 2 people.
Before you are seated in the restaurant they have a cool funky bar area with great views and decor. We can imagine this is the spot to be of an evening!
This was an amazing place to visit with the girls and it wasn’t as expensive as you would think.
The view is just breathtaking, isn’t it?
If you know of any other must visit places, please do leave us a comment as we would love to hear from you and try out some new spots.
Until our Next Adventure,
