What’s in my Bag? no.2 (by Anna)

We established in my first of these posts (read it here) that I am a very nosy person. I just can’t help it. I enjoy getting to know new people and what better way to find out a bit more about someone then by what they deem worthy to carry around in their handbag?

Most of the time I pay for things in shops using my iPhone. Did you know that the £30 limit for contactless payment is no more IF you pay using Apple Pay because you authorise it using your thumbprint? How awesome is that!

Sometimes I do carry my purse though. I used to suffer from Big Purse Syndrome. Not because it was full of money or anything (I wish!) but because my purses were always massive. I’d fill them with a bunch of things I didn’t really need to carry with me. Simply because the size would allow me to. I now have a lovely teeny tiny little card holder and I love it!

Make the change people, if you too suffer from Big Purse Syndrome, make the change. You’ll never look back, I promise.

I’ll always have a bit of whatever makeup I’m wearing with me in the bag for touch up purposes. My motto is Plan for the worst, Hope for the best!

I’m shortsighted and usually wear contact lenses. Sometimes I will bring my glasses with me just incase I need to take my lenses out. Particularly after a long day and I’m round a friends house. There is nothing more annoying and uncomfortable than the feeling of your contacts drying out because you’ve worn them for too long.

I read a lot and tend to carry either my phone or my little mini iPad with me. I used to have 4 book cases full of books. I eventually ran out of space in those book cases and we didn’t have room for another one. I took the plunge and donated all my books to charity shops and got rid of the book cases. Now all of my books are digital. I do miss the smell of a book and the physical turning of a page but iBooks works amazingly well for me. It is also a lot easier to travel with the iPad than 4-5 physical books for a weeks holiday.

Hope you enjoyed reading this instalment of my bag spill. There will be plenty more in the future. Please do leave a comment, as usual we would love to hear from you!

Until Next Time,

    1. Thank you! It was hard I won’t lie but I’m happy I made the move to digital. More room for me in our house now hahah and pay it forward right, there are book lovers out there who can’t afford the extortionate pricing of brand new books. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!

  1. I use to carry large handbags with me all the time and throw everything in, now I have a small cross body bag or a mini rucksack. No more shoulder pain, yay! Lovely post X

  2. I love how you guys share a blog! And I also love your bag! I didn’t think I was going to be one to love bags and having everything in it ”just in case”, but I think I was wrong… At least I get to live it up through other people’s posts! Thanks for sharing!

  3. You must be a soulmate of mine! I downsized my giant purse as well and now carry a small crossbody bag and my back and shoulders thank me for it. I also love reading giant 1000+ page books and switches to kindle a few years back and never regretted it. 😊
